- Mobilisation began on September 2021 and the sites were mobilised in the New Year of 2022. Within the mobilisation process Apleona liased with 3 different national caterers who at the time were the incumbent caterers to ensure the mobilisation process was seamless.
- The mobilisation included the sourcing of new EPOS for 2 of the sites, included a full mobilisation for BMS Uxbridge (the site had been closed for refurbishment with a newly constructed kitchen and servery which went live at mobilisation) and the set up of local supply chains.
- 2 of the sites had been closed during the pandemic with significant elements of the staffing teams removed from all – the catering teams across the sites were grown from 8 to 21 staff within the first 6 months of operating, with a 50% increase in staffing prior to mobilisation (including a brand new kitchen team at BMS Uxbridge). PROJECTS: Redesign and install of restaurant (BMS Moreton) Replacement of Hot Drinks Free Issue Machines (circa 20 machines across the 3 sites) INNOVATIONS: Launch of preordering apps (at time of mobilisation for 2 sites) Hospitality Relaunches Aqua Libra water dispense systems SUSTAINABILITY: A host of initiatives have included ENVIRONMENTAL Delivery of Palm Oil Free retail range Removal of Avocados and Farmed Fish from the restaurant offer Set up of kitchen gardens in all sites SOCIAL: 5 of the 7 Chefs across the sites participate in the Adopt A School scheme Sourcing all fresh produce (dairy, meat, fruit and vegetables) from local suppliers Ongoing support of charities through special events. WASTE AND CARBON REDUCTION Removal of plastic PET bottles Elimination of disposable hot and cold drinks cups and sachets Carbon Footprinting of dishes , supporting customers in choosing dishes with a reduced carbon footprint.
